Last year I found a long tunnel in the chloride hills but wasn't able to check his site before it disappeared to see if it was on there already. Given the crumbly nature of the chloride hills, I was too chicken to climb through by myself. At least 40 feet long I would guess, with some windows in it, but it went around a corner so I can't say much more. Anybody know if this is a known spot? Yes, that formation was on Steve's site. I remember emailing him about it since it was in a TR of his but not on his Natural Bridges page; I can't remember why he said he didn't add it to his bridges page. I think a DV natural formations database is a great idea!! I've thought of adding such a page to my website but never had the time. I'd be happy to share info on the natural bridges etc. I'm aware of if you or anyone else on here decides to make such a database; just please be patient with me I'm a graduate student currently on the job market, and it seems I'm always busy with that or catching up on other responsibilities. Ah ha yes Confidence hills, not chloride hills. I was preparing to go to chloride city the next day and had it on the brain! |
