Can someone identify this canyon? - ChitownDesertRat - 2023-04-01

Is someone able to identify which canyon the first half of this video is?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlo05QvXEsk

He enters at roughly 0:25 and is in there for the first half of the video. The only real clue is that he's parked on what looks like Badwater Road. The canyon looks a very little bit like Gower Gulch, but I dont think its that. The section of narrows he reaches is really pretty.

Thanks!

Artist Dip #2

Edit;
And he’s not parked at Artists Palette at the beginning. Likely Trail Canyon where he camped.

Thanks Beardilocks, that makes sense... and explains why it does look a bit like Gower Gulch!

I tried to visit the slot at dip #2 last year and thought it was the slot actually in the dip #2 (where you cant go very far) instead of the one immediately after you come out of the dip. Oh well, for next time!

Digonnet describes the hike well. Suggest you pick up his book. Usually cheap on eBay used.

It is the one actually in the dip. You have to do a number of scrambles along the way, but all of them my then 5 year old daughter managed to do. Conditions have not changed in there as far as accessibility in any significant way for the past two decades at least. I was just in there a few weeks ago. As Beardilocks said pick up the book, you'll be happy you did.

One could thoroughly enjoy and entire day exploring these short but vivid slots easts of Artist Palette Drive. These videos might provide some stimulus in that regard?

And this one got my heart racing all over again exploring those slots and then skiing back down that steep ridge to my starting point. Mix in The Snoopy Rock and Willie Wonka Falls for geology giggles.
