Beatty's fine dining establishments - GowerGulch42 - 2024-07-16

As many of you know, I'm something of a geologist with a particular interest in the Death Valley region. I'm leading two trips down to the park this coming fall, one in mid-September for the Geological Society of America** (open to the public!) and one for a small science media organization (sold out!). For the latter trip at the end of October, we have a group of 50 looking for dining in Beatty or possible after-hours accommodation for a fee to fit us all in without being disruptive. There's a few BBQ restaurants, but we've heard from different things from different people on which ones are open.

Can anyone here help us out in finding a place for 50? It would save us considerable time calling around and guessing!

** My GSA trip is September 18-21, departing from Anaheim (though we're open to participants meeting us at the park). Here's the link: https://community.geosociety.org/gsa2024/program/field

Doubt you'll find "fine dining" in Beatty, let alone for a group of fifty. There is some good food but "fine dining" not so sure. Smoking Joes is new and I've not tried them yet. I usually stop in around noon for the Senior Citizen's Lunch which is rather basic but I go to visit with the locals more than the food. Long Street down the road a ways might accommodate you large group? The Inn at Death Valley might accommodate but it's cost you.
