Ashford to Scotty
#1
On GE I notice a trail connecting a saddle above Ashford to Timpapah Spr on a descending traverse.  Where the valley floor steepens in bedrock it appears to be blasted.  Anyone done this?  I remember a conversation with DVD about it but not the verdict.

Having not been up Scotty's Canyon I have no first hand evidence, but as you probably know that area between the two canyons has lots of workings and lots of trails visible on satellite images. There is one on the ridge just to the south of the spring, but not clear where it goes or if it more than a game trail.

I hiked to just above Timpapah spring from upper Scotty’s and there were 2 sheep using that route you marked to come down to the spring. I don’t seem to have any photos of that specific area unfortunately so I’m not sure about it being hikable. It was in general a very steep area and we weren’t able to find a safe route down into the spring but we were low on time and may have missed it.

Not sure if this video will help, especially at minute 7:25?
