Perry Mason in the desert
#1
My husband is a fan of detective mysteries such as the Perry Mason books by Erle Stanley Gardner, and ESG was a fan of southwest deserts, we found out. John came across this non-fiction book of his about adventures while looking for various lost mines or treasures:

The back cover stated "This is the fifth book that Mr. Gardner has written on the desert but the first that is devoted to the western desert of the United States."

In addition, John also came across one of ESG's mysteries that used the southwest desert as its background:

My apologies for the poor photography of the pages - they were more trouble to focus on than I ever expected.
