I'm glad that you reposted your trip report because I may have missed it on the previous forum. What was the year of your February trek to the playa?

I believe that our Andrew aka Gower Gulch managed a similar jaunt over the Cottonwoods to the playa. 

I also enjoyed how you formatted and organized your Death Valley images on your Flickr account. Thanks again and please post some more trip reports.
