Checking the NAMUS database used to be something I would regularly do before hiking into a remote area. Just like peakbagging or bridge hunting, it's another excuse I could use to get off the beaten path.
I won't likely participate in their organized search, but there's a good chance I'll be over there next week.
I wonder where they're focusing the search. The old reports say the truck was found on Goler wash road just outside the park boundary with an "out of gas" sign on it.
