I was running out of PM space. I tried deleting messages I had read. The number used did not change. I tried deleting sent messages. Ditto. I discovered there is a folder called "trash can". Only if you go THERE and delete your previously "deleted" messages do they really go away, and you get more space for private messages. Just thought I might save someone else some time, if this is not obvious.
