DEVA December 15-17th Recap
#1
Hadn't been to DEVA since April 2024 and so glad I snuck in a brief trip this month, December 2024. I'm so behind on following you all in this lovely forum. I at least wanted to drop off these video links to the fun I had during my brief stay with perfect weather.

I just happened to be driving by Salt Creek the morning the crews were arriving to start rebuilding the board walk, restroom, and parking. They were off loading material to be stored in that large white container.

Right across from Keane Wonder Mine entrance I chatted up a road work contractor who said the cost of repairs for paved roads in the park after the big storm was 15 million bucks. They were doing some serious reinforcing of the Betty Cutoff Road right there.

I enjoyed my 22 miles of hiking at various locations. Not crowded and great weather so wished I could have stayed all December.
