False unread messages
#1
From time to time, one or more forums will have the black circle left of the name indicating unread posts. However, the most recent posts will be weeks ago which were read at that time.  Am I doing something wrong?  The fix is to click on "Mark all forums read".

I've never noticed this problem. Can you provide some examples?

Next time it happens, I will post here.

Here is a sample from right now. Forums marked unread, but old posts.  All were marked read yesterday. Yes, I do read every new post in every forum.

I've seen that happen – and just tested / confirmed now – when I'm accidentally logged out and hit the main page every forum shows as unread.

Yep, that's very likely the problem.

@trailhound please verify that you're actually logged in the next time you see this behavior.

I am seeing the same thing today as yesterday.  I am definitely logged in.

I've learned two things from this thread. One is the way the forum is marked as read/unread; and two, I don't have the problem like trailhound does.  Cool

That's bizarre. I'd like some additional data:
* a full screenshot of the problem with the 'welcome back' message
* details on which web browser(s) (and version) you're using when you run into this problem

There's got to be something unique about your setup, as no one else is reporting/experiencing this problem.
