Old SPW

Well... old is relative but...

Stumbled across this on one of the Facegrams or something recently.  I don't think a date was listed.  If it was I forgot to take note of it. 

Interesting to see what's changed over the years.

The pickup behind the gas pumps can't be seen much, but zooming in I see it has a utility bed and the cab appears to be the 1967-1972 generation of Chevrolet pickup. I remember Standard gas stations in my youth. Checking online, as of 2017 Chevron kept one station per state with the Standard brand name to keep their trademark alive.

I remember the telephone switchboard "Death Valley 2000", operated by the hotel clerk. I have to assume that is long gone.
