Many years ago, as I was putting a sign proposal together for backcountry ski trails we developed. One person involved was a state university professor in the recreation department. We discussed signs and their value. He honestly suggested I stand outside a convenience store and see how many people "Pull" when the sign right in front of them says "Push."
