There is a very handsome ridge, with great variations in the colors of the downward tilting strata, running pretty much east from Aguereberry Point.   I recall seeing a name for it somewhere, but it's not on the standard topo.  Anyone have any recollection?   The ridge is best viewed from around Wildrose.  I'm trying to label some photos.
Is it this?  Big Grin

Tetracoccus Ridge

I also tried using the Board on Geographic Names search to see all official names in that area (use "visible in current extent"):

Wow Candace, thanks for nailing the name down on that ridge which is on  my bucket list to capture a sunrise from that ridge end point of Aquereberry Point and the Panamints in the background.

Here's an amazing video of the flora on the ridge with an emphasis on the gorgeous plant life with panoramas of the geology in the background. This botanist is amazing.
Wow, thanks Candace, you nailed that quickly! (thought you were out peakbagging!).

It gets more interesting. There is one ascent recorded at Peakbagger, by Mike Reynolds. The same Mike Reynolds who was superintendent? Well his other ascents in the area match the dates of his tenure as super. And, seems rather an accomplished peak bagger, having scored all 99 DV high points in Ron Bartell's list.

I had wondered about getting out that ridge. I'll have to look at my old photos to judge what the terrain is like, if there is any nasty exposure.

Thanks!

What a slacker, peakbagging on Gov't time!   Wow, that video is awesome.  Hope he comes back to DV and does more!
