That location is a few feet off Panamint Valley Road. I can't tell you how many times I have driven past it. RIP, pilot.

I was wondering if that was just the staging area for responding vehicles and that the crash might have been away from the road some.  There are no updated articles yet and I haven't seen anything posted from Panamint Springs or Ballarat.
