I came across some 1975 George Anderson 16mm movies he shot from an airplane over Death Valley that capture several fields of borax haystacks. To calibrate his altitude the video starts with his fly over Manly Beacon's north face before he heads out over the salt flats. I spliced in some of my own foot surveys of several haystack fields as well as a comment from our very own GowerGulch42.
