I hope this all good news and a sign of getting back to normal.

Anyone know if Xanterra has resumed construction at The Oasis in Furnace Creek?

Hello, Atomic Inn, Beatty

I stayed at the Atomic Inn recently. They were very nice about finding a room that hadn't been used the night before. But ditto on Furnace Creek or the Oasis. I have yet to stay there.

Agree with you on the high cost of lodging. However, taking some time to stroll the grounds around The Inn At Death Valley and directly across the street south to where they've converted the old laundry facility into a reception area is quite lovely. Also the short hike/scramble up to that gazebo like structure overlooking the Inn below and the "valley of death" spreading out north to south set in front of the Panamint Range s is delightful.
