Greetings,
I had the chance to do a short overnight trip at the Mojave National Preserve in early December 2021.
I did a loop around the Marl Mountains. The route was roughly half cross-country and half old jeep tracks/roads.

Marl Mountains
Weather was great and the hike was relatively easy. The old roads were an easy walk, the washes were sandy
but the sand was coarse and not too loose. The canyon that I took to traverse the range was alright, only a
couple of spots were thorny plants and rocks made a good obstacle. The Marl Spring area had a few visitors
using 4x4 vehicles (they were a little surprised when I walked by).
