Anyone know the name or story of this (presumed) mine south of the Racetrack?
36.64481, -117.55374
My old maps show a road headed out there. Sat shows some spots where buildings used to be.
Just wondered if it was worth checking out. Headed to the ‘Track in a couple hours.

Your coordinates fix to a wash bottom and I don't see any tailings in the vicinity.
However, if you continue on the faint road to its end, at 36°38'30.74" -117°32'57.53" it appears that you run into some bulldozer prospects.

Definitely some scraping going on in the area. As mentioned, no tailings to speak of.
If you go back to the 8/2013 imagery, the details are a lot clearer:
ladder-like frame at 36.645188, -117.554473
water line at 36.641555, -117.549053.
No signs of a nearby spring, so I presume the water line was intended to push water up to some diggings. Couldn't find any diggings in the apparent direction of the pipe.
I have a marker for a Ulida Mine, but it is east of there, just over the ridge. Easier to access from Hunter Mountain.
