Maybe you didn't recommend it actually, but I'm about to replace the alternator with a higher capacity model (from a Suzuki Grand Vitara, LoL) and all the cables.
I'm coming in to this a bit late, but if you haven't found JeepCables / ToyotaCables for the big wire upgrades, they've been great on my 5VZ (and I still have some parts left to install). I'm assuming the Taco is similar in setup to the 4Runner 5VZ? You can get bigger diameter Toyota wire bundle clamps using Land Cruiser PNs since the stock ones are too small for bigger wires. And LMK if you want to swap in a Group 27 battery and need advice about that. Beardy probably can remember hearing alllllll about my project last winter
