I'm just back to “civilization” after a really chill 8 days around the general area of the Racetrack Valley. I found some really cool stuff, some really odd stuff, and some WTF stuff.
I won't rehash much as far as hikes I've covered previously (such as this one) and I'm going to break a lot of it into separate posts for the sake of coherence.
First hike was back to Corridor Canyon. A lovely hike as always and my… I think 3rd time out here? Still finding new things. This time including a brand spanking new $40 Camelback insulated water bottle, sadly left on a boulder on it's first ever hike by it's previous owner. Finder's keepers on anything newer than 50yrs old right? Lol.
One new find on this hike was two of these numbers that I found along the canyon that leads into Corridor proper. One was F7065 and one was F7070. They are about 1/10th of a mile apart as the crow flies. I would guess mining markers of some kind but I haven't seen anything similar in Death Valley before.

I did find a new (albeit minor) petroglyph panel that I had missed on my my previous trips.

Corridor Looking spectacular as always.

Finished the day with a glorious sunset

And a Hashbrown Fritatta (fried potato crust under eggs/asparagus/cheese/sausage). Burnt the crust a bit trying to do it in a pan instead of an oven. Should be able to correct that for the next one by not pre-cooking the potatoes as much.
