Harry Wade Road open/closed?

I'm getting conflicting and ambiguous information from NPS sites about the south end of Harry Wade --- I'm hoping to get in fom 127 and go north as far as the Owlsheads Rd, maybe a mile or 2 further (but not as far as the Amargosa crossing).
Does anyone know if this is SUV-possible now? -Scott |
