Panamintvalley.com down
#1
Bug
I went over to take a look at Panamint Valley. Com. But all I get is a placeholder from Sagebrush Host. With the message, "Please contact host provider."

Anyone know what's up?

Thanks for posting this, as I was wondering the same thing. At first I figured it was just a server down or something but it's been over 2 days now.

Jebus. Note, Sagebrush is the same provider that hosted the 'old' forum. No clue what's going on with pv.com though.

Pretty sure Sagebrush is the hosting "company" of Dan, the admin/person who removed the Death Valley forum.

Looks like his hot spring website – soakersforum.com – is still up though.

Hopefully PV is fixed soon.

Paging David Bricker... He should know what's going on over there.

Yep, we're aware. It got shut down with the reason being given that the BB software was backlevel, and exposing their servers to attacks. In this case, we did have some advance notice, but didn't have anyone available to update the BB software. We do have backups of the data.

We are working to find a new home for the board, and I will update this as I have additional news.

Oof. In case anyone is concerned, there is no risk of that happening here. I run the entire server (there is no higher authority to shut me down on security grounds), and everything is fully up to date.

Wow.

Panamintvalley.com totally got hosed on this one. What a joke.
