Video - Ghost Towns of Death Valley & Vicinity
#1
During May 1-3, 2000, authors Alan Patera, Alan Henscher and I took a camping tour of ghost towns and historic sites as Reilly (Anthony Mill Ruins); blooming Panamint Daisies in Wildrose Canyon; the Inyo Mine; and Schwab. We then head into the highlands of Oriental Wash to visit Stateline, Oriental. We also stop by Roosevelt City in Tule Canyon, Gold Point and Palmetto.

There are three parts covering each day, with a photo slide show at the end. In total, the videos run close to two hours.

You are welcome. I’m glad you are enjoying them.

These have been languishing on my Google Drive for years; so long so that I had forgotten about them and that I even had Google Drive space.

These I edited old home videos of these trips, converted them to Windows Media files (an older version of Adobe Photoshop for editing videos, so no MP4 format) and uploaded them for an old exploration forum that is no longer online. That was about seven or eight years ago.

Instead of them languishing, I finally got the nerve up again to link them up here; it was rather painful to have gone through the time and effort to edit and enhance these videos only to have them removed shortly after.

I have several more from within the area of interest of this forum and will put them up in time. I may also create several more short videos focusing on areas that are often asked about here and other forums.
