Dazed, when do you expect age to stop you. I'm 69. I think you're a few years younger? I don't plan to stop though I can't do the distances I used to be able to manage. My attitude is that if I stop, I die, so... I just keep going

That is a "crested" or "crestate" saguaro. Maybe 1:1000 or fewer? Perhaps due to frost injury, they just go crazy. I reckon that particular one has not been viewed by very many people, as it was quite off trail.
