Great photos! Brings back a lot of memories for me. I remember doing that loop back in 2004. Oddly, I don't remember it being listed as a "primitive trail" back then and recall the route being relatively easy to find, and lots of people were hiking it. I'm wondering if it was a maintained trail back then and they're no longer maintaining it? Or if my memory is misleading me (not unlikely!).
