Big Bend NP, TX

Since I already had my spring DV trip, next week I'm going to Big Bend NP in Texas. I've got campsites in both Rio Grande Village and Cottonwood. I've got a guidebook and a map, but I'm curious whether anyone in the forum here has been to Big Bend, and what they would recommend.

Funniest thing I've learned so far is that what we call a dry fall, they call a "pour-off." Oh, and there are bears. The campsites come equipped with ye olde fire ring, picnic table, and food storage locker.

Wanted to go for years, but never been. It's a long drive from any place I'd fly in to. But remember you can always post those nice pix in the "other western places" area here
