I'd like to see more ranger patrols in an attempt to keep idiots from doing damaging things like driving on the Racetrack. Not sure how to prevent graffiti, but maybe at least putting up some sort of protection over the fossil track sites and petroglyph sites.



And hopefully use some of that budget increase to pay the park rangers more too!

I see these thoughts as probably the most critical need, Kauri.  Thanks for those ideas.

I typically don't see a need for actual trails in the desert.  However, I love finding the segments of old foot trails throughout the park and have many more yet to see.

I have observed over the decades that many historic trails are “maintained” by a “crew” of a large variety of four legged wild critters who enjoy an easy path to follow during their daily routines.
