Thanks. There's stuff in there about the permit system for camping on those roads as well. I suspect the permit numbers are significantly less than the number of parties who often camp there.

It looks like the park has created designated camp sites now after the floods? Never seen before unless I've missed them in the past.

Permit based designated camping along Echo, Hole and Cottonwood has been in the plans since about 2013 according to park planning documents. Signage was going up along Cottonwood this past spring before the floods. Looks like having to regrade everything after the flood was conveniently timed with when they were already set to roll out the permit system. Eventually Greenwater is suppose to also be permitted designated sites.
