Heading south to DEVA from Gold Field, NV toward Beatty, NV I noticed what looked like an overgrown cemetery to my left (east) so I stopped and backed up for a better look. The large farm gate was not locked so I entered and discovered The Torrance Ranch Reserve created by The Nature Conservancy. 7.3 miles north of Beatty.
Trickling down was a lovely soft rain and I had the entire place to myself as I enjoyed the well kept reserve and newly installed walkways and exhibits. It all appeared rather new, at least it was to me since I was clueless about its existence until then. It seemed to me like a mini-version of Ash Meadows. Totally lovely experience which I captured in this two minute video.
