It was a long, unpleasant evening. I did have a couple off brand pepto tabs in my first aid kit that helped. Bad night in the back country is far better than any day at work.
Mostly.

It's all good. I explored some of the Ibex area and I was able to reschedule to a time that my granddaughter can join me. I also know that the roads are good enough to support arriving in the morning and not camping overnight, which should result in better rest. And from my campsite I was able to scan the first part of the hike with binoculars so I have a better understanding of what's in store. Besides not getting any sleep and wondering if I might die in the back of my Jeep, it was a useful trip.
