Chiffon Turquoise Plant Mystery
#2
(2020-11-10, 03:55 PM)DeathValleyDazed Wrote: Help identify this plant located in a remote and difficult location at about 4,500 feet of elevation between The Red Cathedral and Pyramid Peak. I don't recall seeing this beauty anywhere else in DEVA. I learn a few plant names and then forget them in between trips to the park. October 28, 2020.

I've searched through several online flora guides and also BlackTurtle's web site without luck. I've also attempted to email BlackTurtle for his assistance and invited him to this forum.

This video is unlisted and not public on YouTube just in case this lovely plant is new or endangered.

I can't recall what it is but I know MojaveGeek knows, so hopefully he will see this thread.

I have photo of it blooming on page 9 of my report

I believe it's somewhat rare but not endangered.

Just found on my computer archives where I'd saved MojaveGeek's reply to my post on the old DVnet forum: it's a Bear Poppy, and it is endangered (I stand corrected).

Here's BlackTurtle's page on it:
