Disable automatic post merging?
#1
Today, I made three posts on a thread.  But the site merged them all into one big post.  Which makes it harder to read what I wrote.  Moreover, it makes it difficult for anyone who wishes to quote and reply to only one part of what I posted.

Is there a way I can disable this, so it doesn't happen again?

Can you point me to the thread where this happened?

It’s done it to me also. Even when I posted again minutes after posting my last in the same thread.’

For Candace, it happened at https://dv.netllama.us/dv/thread-25933-page-3.html

For me, it was in the second page of the same thread. I even mentioned it in another post below that one when someone pointed out a mistake I made, but not my correction, because my mistake and correction were merged, cluttered and confusing if read quickly.

I’ve seen other forums that do the same thing, but only if one posted within a minute or two of their previous post.

OK, thanks for the details. I've changed how the post merge functionality works. Previously it would auto-merge posts by the same author if they occurred within 60 minutes of each other (with no other posts in between). Now the time window has been reduced to 1 minute, which should generally make it impossible for anyone to have their posts merged.

Appreciate the change on that one. Cheers!
