I had no idea a couple set on tying the knot in DEVA can obtain the permits and pay the NPS for the use of Breakfast Canyon. It actually makes sense and sounds like more fun than the official reception area across the highway from The Inn at Death Valley.

My first wife and I honeymooned in Death Valley after being married in Big Bear Lake in the mid 1970s. Does that count?
First night at Texas Spring, the second night at the old Lippincott mill at Bonnie Clare. In a 1970 VW Westfalia camper van.

Ayup, did the honeymoon thing in DV with the first wife. Second wife helped me break my leg in DV ... that's when I knew she was a keeper.

I had to get my wife-to-be to DV before we got married.... otherwise she might not have become the wife
