I've been hiking in the DV area for 35 years. I gotta agree, the more you know about the place, the more you find you don't know, and the more new places you discover that you want to check out. You do get a lot of solitude that way!
Yes this thread has been a classic, and thanks much for the tips you gave me for my own 10 days out there in March. Always looking for kindred spirits. Happy trails!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I’m glad you could ride along for a bit of this trip.
As far as what’s next, I’m currently trying to stay at cooler altitude and am exploring the Pahranagat Valley and checking out some Hab sites and glyphs as I go.
Slowly headed east to deal with some stupid DMV related things and to see some family.
